Windstream introduces business bundle

Windstream, a provider of advanced network communications, announced its latest bundled offering for small and midsized businesses, the Windstream Professional Bundle.

For a flat monthly fee, the Windstream Professional Bundle includes business-class Internet and unlimited phone service, 24/7 computer repair and replacement of broken components, Internet security and online backup of critical business data, as well as a custom-built website for the customer and one hour of monthly design services by Windstream?s Web experts.

The Little Rock, Ark., company bought D&E Communications Inc., Ephrata, in 2009 for about $330 million.

?Many small businesses do not have the specialized staff to support their IT needs, nor the design team to build and maintain their own websites,? Don Perkins, vice president of business marketing for Windstream, said in a news release. ?With Windstream?s Professional Bundle, we help customers significantly reduce expense and complexity associated with computer repair and website maintenance.?

Rothenberger Insurance, Wenrich Associates combine

Two Berks County insurance agencies, one old and one relatively new, now share the same West Reading roof.

Rothenberger Insurance Services LLC, which had been on Penn Avenue in West Lawn since Ron Rothenberger founded it in 2007, has moved in with Wenrich Associates Inc. at the latter?s longtime home at 436 Penn Ave. Now owned by Charles F. Wenrich, Wenrich Associates has been in the building since Robert C. Wenrich Sr. founded the company in 1953.

?Knowing both businesses have the same philosophy, to help businesses and individuals in finding the right insurance at the best value, it only seemed natural to combine the two insurance businesses,? the companies say in a statement.

While the two will share a building, they remain separate companies. But the statement said the pair now can offer more provider choices to their customers because of the combined location.

Both are independent insurance agencies that sell residential and commercial insurance products from a range of companies.
